Gruntworks Sunday Sermon

Sunday Sermon 27AUG17

Gruntworks Chapel:
27 August 2017

Greetings on this beautiful Sunday from Oklahoma! Today we watch Houston get flooded and of course the fight happened last night. My view? God loves the Irish but doesn’t like a braggart. The wise store up knowledge but the mouth of a fool brings ruin Proverbs 10:14.

IMG_1692So all of our people in Texas get your arm floaties and gather round. Short and sweet Sermon today so that you can get back to napping and recovery.  I just checked in with SGT P on the Northeast side of Houston, and he is holding the line.

All of the recent events have got me thinking. So I started reading The Book for some clarification. How we treat one another in our debates is crap. We are quick to dismiss and insult.

We acknowledge that we are created by God in his image. So why is that we tear each other apart? We are essentially tearing apart our creator’s image

James 9:10 says;
My dear friends, with our tongues we speak both praises and curses. We praise our Lord and Father, and we curse people who were created to be like God, and this isn’t right.

James 1:19 says;
My dear friends, you should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slower to get angry.

This week I challenge you to engage someone of opposite views and do it the way Jesus instructed. You’ll find the more you do this the more you brain goes from reactive to thinking.

As you go about your week if you can, donate or volunteer to help our family on the Texas Coast.

Blessings and Prayers,

Padre
